there are those within the world of athera who choose to pick up a "class." it is what helps them when they embark on their adventures, or when they're delving into an ancient ruin. while some choose to pick up a sword and a shield, others choose to cast powerful spells, or go on a full berserker rage. the classes that are playable are all listed below!



Playable Classes

CLERIC

Clerics are healers who focus in divine magic. They are similar to Paladins with their devotion to the light, and to their religions, but unlike the Paladin, the Cleric does not engage in combat

PALADIN

The paladin is a champion of the light. Similar to Clerics, the Paladin devotes their life to the light, and to their religions. Often times Paladins and Clerics work together to smite evil and spread the word of the light, worshiping Asmure. However, Paladins are a bit of a combination between Warriors and Clerics, as they wear heavy armor and are just as skilled at fighting as they are at casting divine spells

BARBARIAN

This class is exactly what you think it is. The Barbarians are rageful fighters. They are typically chaotic, their combat style wildly violent and destructive. Barbarians typical wield large weapons, dealing heavy damage and making up for what they lack in brains, with brawn

SORCERER

Sorcerers are spell casters who can cast a wide variety of spells. They are often skilled in all schools of magic. Sorcerers spend a lot of their time studying the arts at the Mage's college in Vale. They are fierce spell casters, and what they lack in armor, they make up for it in damaging ability

DRUID

Druids are typically Elven, though it isn't entirely unheard of to have groves of humans. They focus in nature magic, casting a variety of spells from healing, to summoning beasts and even shifting into different animals!

RANGER

Rangers are typically skilled hunters and outdoorsmen. They have an animal companion who often hunts with them, their skills in archery unmatched by others. Rangers also have a small amount of knowledge in primal and earth magic, though they typically prefer to use a bow

FIGHTER

fighters are skilled warriors who are very proficient in using a wide variety of weapons. Some fighters train for most of their lives to become skilled, whereas some might be mercenaries or soldiers. they are your typical sword and shield fighter, though they aren't just limited to that.

ROGUE

A Rogue is a thief, and typically the best kind of thief. Some have ties to underground guilds, thieves guilds and assassin brotherhoods. They work under the noses of everyone without the general public even realizing it, and that is the beauty of a Rogue. They are quick, dirty fighters, who use both stealth and poisons to their advantage

BARD

Charismatic and highly talented, bards are capable of inspiring those around them through their music, and are spell casters in their own right. Though they usually play a supporting role in a party, they're capable enough at defending themselves

Shaman

Shamans are magic users that gain their powers through spirits. They are the bridge that connects the material world and the ethereal world. They can cast spells or use the very spirits to help them in and out of combat, so much so, that being surrounded by spirits is a common occurrence for them.

WARLOCK

Warlocks are seekers of the knowledge that lies hidden in the fabric of the multiverse. Through pacts made with mysterious beings of supernatural power, warlocks unlock magical effects both subtle and spectacular. Drawing on the ancient knowledge of beings such as demons, devils, hags, and alien entities of the Far Realm, warlocks piece together arcane secrets to bolster their own power.

MONK

Monks are dead unarmed combatants, instead relying on their calming focus and the ancient mysticism and powers of ki which flows through them in order to make monks formidable foes against their enemies. they often study in monastaries until they feel they have fully harness their power.
